Charles W Morgan Cruise
Boat Cruise to See the Last Wooden Whaling Ship Under Full Sail in Vineyard Sound
The Charles W. Morgan is the last of an American whaling fleet that numbered more than 2,700 vessels. Built and launched in 1841, the Morgan is now America’s oldest commercial ship still afloat – only the USS Constitution is older. The Morgan will be sailing into Vineyard Haven Harbor one of the afternoons between June 18th and 20th.
Seeing a wooden ship of this size under full sail is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Plan Sea Adventure Charters is offering an opportunity for up to six passengers to witness history from the comfort of our fast and safe power vessel. Captain Dave will pick-up passengers in Falmouth Harbor and Vineyard Haven, cruise to the Morgan’s location at sea and follow her into Vineyard Haven. We will depart in the early afternoon and drop-off passengers in Vineyard Haven and Falmouth in the early evening. More details as they become available.
Fee per passenger: $90. There are only six spots, so book early. The times are approximate and the day between June 18 & 20 will be determined later.
