Girl’s Weekend Boat Trip

These good friends have known each other since grade school and were on the Vineyard to celebrate their birthdays and have a girl’s weekend boat trip. After we departed the Edgartown docks we cruised for about 30 minutes to a seal colony off Chappaquiddick(Chappy). We saw about 90 grey seals hunting in the shallows and hauled out on the sand bar. The male seals weight around 700 pounds and can hardly move on land but are unbelievably graceful in the water.

After watching the seals, the girls went for a swim at a secluded limited access beach. To end the girl’s weekend boat trip they opened a bottle of champagne and drank to their friendship on a beautiful day off Martha’s Vineyard.
